The Setagaya Intercultural Center opened in 2020. It provides information useful in daily life, connections to local community groups, and assistance for those experiencing difficulties. The center is primarily orientated towards residents with roots in foreign countries, and also caters for organizations involved in the local community and everyone interested in international exchange and multicultural coexistence.
The center also promotes international exchange and cross-cultural understanding by hosting a variety of seminars and events.
●Intercultural Lounge
The Intercultural Lounge provides a place for cultural exchange where Japanese and international residents, including international students, in Setagaya-ku can connect with each other beyond language and cultural barriers.
●Urban Walking Tour for International Residents
The center organizes tours of cultural facilities, shopping streets, and trips to various local events. These tours create opportunities for both Japanese and international residents in Setagaya-ku to get involved in the community by discovering the appeal of the local area while interacting with each other.
●Seminar on Multicultural Understanding
