Group Overview
Japan Association for Refugees (JAR) was established in September, 1999.Our mission is to ensure that all refugees who flee from their countries to Japan will be saved and settled down with safety. JAR provides legal assistance aiming for recognition of refugee status and social assistance such as medical care, meal, and housing, for asylum-seekers and refugees. JAR also provides community-based services and job placement assistance.
