Group Overview
The Global City Ota Cooperation Association was founded in Ota City on December 21, 2017, and began operations in March 2018. Its mission is to promote the ongoing importance of living side by side in a multicultural society as a core message of the "Global City Ota Declaration." As an organization at the center of advancing policy that enriches multicultural life in Ota City, the association coordinates various activities that span close cooperation with cultural exchange groups and cultural exchange volunteer networks, and also works with individual Ota City residents.

●Japanese Language Classes
Entry-level Japanese language classes are held with beginners in mind that teach practical Japanese required in day-to-day life, including how to read and write the hiragana and katakana alphabets, and how to have simple conversations.

Those who express interest in international exchange, want to put their language skills to use, or would like to try their hand at event planning may enroll as international exchange volunteers. They can receive support in finding related activities connected to the association as well as opportunities with groups across Ota City and the region.

To deepen understanding and exchange among Ota City residents, whether Japanese or international, the city holds regular events and lectures related to Japanese and world culture.
