ISS was accredited as a social welfare corporation in 1959 and works as the Japanese branch of International Social Service (ISS) network based in Geneva. Our services include, 1) counseling on pregnancy, child adoption, root searching, 2) social work for migrant families and children including refugees, support for nationality acquirement of stateless children, 3) parent-child visitation.

Organization's PR Message
For over 60 years, ISSJ has been providing social welfare services in multiple languages such as English, Tagalog, or Thai, in response to the needs of children and families with foreign roots. ISSJ has expertise of multicultural/international social work. By utilizing the ISS network spanning to 140 countries, it gathers information on procedures in other countries and conducts family assessment.
